Local 330 Negotiates Improved Wages, Benefits, Seniority Rights in Bartlett

More than 300 manufacturing workers at Senior Flexonics represented by Teamsters Local 330 overwhelmingly ratified a strong new contract by an 8-to-1 margin.

The powerful ratification vote on October 15 is the second three-year contract for Teamsters who manufacture automotive, energy, medical and aerospace supplies in Bartlett, Ill. Local 330 President Dominic Romanazzi and the bargaining committee recently finalized negotiations with an agreement that expands workers’ seniority rights, bolsters hourly wages and improves the members’ health and welfare benefits and pensions.

“Once again, the Teamsters at Senior Flexonics banded together to fight the good fight and secure a strong contract that respects the work they perform and the commitment they make to this company,” Romanazzi said. “Local 330 is proud of this unit of hundreds of hardworking Teamsters. For the next three years, our members can take comfort in knowing they’ll have the job security, fair wages and premier benefits they need to care for their families and work toward a more prosperous future.”

Wages for Senior Flexonics Teamsters will increase 2.75% in the first year of the new contract, and 2.5% in each subsequent year. Workers secured dramatically improved seniority rights across the board, as well as increased flexibility for use of vacation time and personal days.

All new employees covered under Local 330’s collective bargaining agreement will be eligible for health and welfare coverage 30 days sooner than previously guaranteed. Additionally, fixed life insurance will be made available to workers with weekly contributions from the employer. Company contributions to the Teamsters’ pension fund also have been increased.

Following ratification, new wages are retroactive to September 15.

Teamsters at Senior Flexonics manufacture fuel system components, medical products, green energy products, high-pressure fuel rails and heavy-duty machinery. The company was founded in Chicago in 1902.

Teamsters Local 330, an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 25, represents thousands of hardworking private and public employees throughout northern Illinois.
