National Police Week Observance is May 15-21, 2017

In honor of National Police Week, Teamsters Local 700 would like to pay homage to all of the hardworking law enforcement officers who serve with integrity and pride, and often sacrifice their own personal safety to preserve the safety of the public.

National Police Week is an annual campaign to recognize law enforcement members and honor those fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. This year’s national observance week is May 15 – 21, and several annual events will take place around the country and in Washington, D.C.

“Teamsters Local 700 is proud to represent more than 5,000 law enforcement officers in Illinois,” said Becky Strzechowski, Local 700 President and Trustee of Teamsters Joint Council 25. “These are people who face unpredictable situations every day and often don’t receive enough recognition for the very tough and dangerous jobs they do. To the dedicated men and women who work in law enforcement and put their lives on the line every day to serve and protect us – thank you for your service.”
