Teamsters Local 700’s Cook County Department of Corrections Officers face several huge challenges due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. In early March, Officers struggled to obtain PPE and today they are forced to socially distance in a purposefully-enclosed environment while working continuous mandatory overtime. Despite the additional challenges to an already difficult job, Officers Tyrone Felix, Bill Hogueisson, and Mike Tellez show up to work every day along with 2,500 other Cook County Sheriffs. Daily, these brave Officers continue to serve and protect.
