Teamsters Local 301 Member and Waste Management Employee Don Krenz was been awarded the National Waste & Recycling Association’s highest honor last month, when he was named NWRA Operator of the Year.

Krenz has been a member of Local 301 and worked at Waste Management at the Virginia Road Transfer Station in Crystal Lake, Ill. for 35 years. Waste Management co-workers and supervisors commended Don’s impeccable safety record and attention to detail in all aspects of the job. Accepting the award, Krenz thanked his outstanding team of co-workers and his father, Donald Krenz Sr. with instilling in him such a tireless work ethic and focus on safety.
