The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Safety and Health Department has published a Summary and Resources document concerning the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The document compiles the latest information (as of 3/5/2020) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other federal and state agencies.

The document explains what the Coronavirus is, its symptoms how it’s believed to be spreading, which workers are at an increased risk, and what are the most effective ways to protect workers.

There have been several cases reported in Illinois, and the IBT’s Safety and Health Department document provides an Information Checklist from the CDC to help take steps to plan and protect the health and safety of staff and colleagues.
